Amid Trump's insistence on electoral disapproval, U.S. President-elect Joe Biden has decided to vote again manually in Georgia, where he is 0.3 percentage point ahead of the midterm elections.

According to U.S. economic broadcaster CNBC on the 11th (local time), Georgia Secretary of State Brad Lapensperger said at a press conference that "the difference in votes is so small that all counties will have to re-check with their hands."

La Pensper said observers from both parties will oversee the process and that the vote will be completed by the 20th.

In Georgia, a traditional Republican "mainland," President Trump was ahead of Biden by more than 10 percentage points until the middle of the vote count. Since then, however, Biden has reversed and succeeded, widening the gap to 14,112 votes (0.29 percentage points) based on the current 98 percent turnout.

The New York Times (NYT) reported that Republican Secretary of State Lapensperger has been under pressure from President Trump and his aides, who claim that Biden won the presidential election with "a massive fraud" without any evidence.

State election officials, including State Secretary Rafensperger, have said no evidence of widespread election irregularities has been forthcoming.

Republican Congressman Doug Collins, however, sent a letter on Thursday asking for a hand-written recount, not a computer scanner. Republican Georgian senators David Purdue and Kelly Loffler have also called for the resignation of their campaign chief, LaPensperger.

Georgia has 16 electors at stake. However, Biden has already secured more than 270 electoral votes, which is the standard for winning the presidency, except for Georgia. Therefore, the results of the presidential election do not change just by reversing the results in Georgia.

Attention is focusing on who will benefit from Georgia's front count.
